I was 19 when I pursuing my degree in uk.. to be honest, my mum was so scared that I become "cekeding", but, her assumptions was wrong, when I turned to be "chubby monster".. hehe

Usually, setiap waktu berbuka when I was teenagers, I always asked my parents to buy me karamel.. and, pernah suatu ketika, I was so upset, tgk karamel dah habis dijual...

But, in UK, manala ada orang jual karamel like in malaysia.. jelly karamel adalah..

To my surprise, kak wan pandai masak karamel... although, it is not her favourite..
ever since that, everytime ada potluck at rumpun bradford, one of my favourite dish, is karamel.. and, sayala yang membuatnya.. hehe...

dan, mungkin sb duduk kat Bumi Asing, you need to survive and kena berani mencuba kat dapur.. kalau tak sedap, xperla, cuba lagi... hehe



resepi karamel ala ikin: (for 1 loyang)
8 biji telur
gula
1 setengah tin susu cair (evaporated milk)
perisa vanila
pewarna kuning (setitis je, tak nak pun xper)

1. basuh telur dan pecahkan telur. pukul telur dgn 7 sudu besar gula. pukul sebati but jangan sampai ada banyak buih. (nanti karamel tak cantik, banyak bubble).

2. masukkan satu sentengah tin susu cair dan pukul secara perlahan. (mcm lebih kurang kacau)

3. masukkan satu sudu kecik vanilla dan setitis pewarna kuning. and kacau..

4. panaskan pengukus.

5. ambil 7 sudu besar gula dan nyalakan ats api dalam api kecik.

6.perhatikan sampai hangus, and tambahan sikit air. (about 100ml)..

7. gula tu akan jadi keras. but, jangan panik.. continue kacau sampai jadi cecair kembali.

8. tuangkan gula yang dah cair dalam loyang. ( i used 21cm loyang bulat).. ratakan gula tu dgn memegang side loyang.

9. tuangkan adunan tadi ( gula+susu cair+ vanilla+ pewarna kuning)

10. Kukus for 30 minutes..

11. dan siap....
